At FPL, we understand how important it is to support the communities where our employees live and work. We invest our time and energies in local organizations and causes that result in more vibrant, healthier and engaged communities that help move Florida forward.
Power to Save Program
Launched in 2016, FPL's Power to Save program offers assistance to low-income customers through energy retrofits administered by FPL in selected neighborhoods. Qualifying customers who sign up for the program receive a free FPL energy survey of their home, tips on how to save money, as well as services and program savings of up to $500.
Nonprofit Energy Makeovers
FPL is working with the communities it serves to make Florida an even better place to work and raise a family. One way we do this is through our Nonprofit Energy Makeovers. A team of FPL energy experts and local contractors help a nonprofit save money by making its building more energy efficient. We have performed energy upgrades for the NFL Youth Education Town (YET) Lester H. White Boys & Girls Club in Fort Lauderdale, the Halifax Humane Society of Daytona Beach, Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County, Bridges of Brevard County and Epic Behavioral Health Care of St. Johns County and many others.
Through this program, we're helping nonprofits across our service area save energy and money. These organizations re-channel those savings into their valuable programs. Every dollar a community partner can save on its energy bill is a dollar it can use to extend its services to the community.
